Vote for Alfie Boe’s Best Ever Song

We all have our favourite Alfie Boe songs, whether they are from the early, operatic part of his career, the musical theatre albums or the more recent rockier songs. Here are thoughtsofjustafan we wanted to find out if Bring Him Home is indeed the fan’s favourite Alfie Boe song or if we prefer something else.

Lots of you sent in nominations for your favourite song and it was obviously a very difficult task as some people sent in up to six songs!  One commenter said that it was impossible, “like choosing your favourite child”.

Somewhat predictably, Bring Him Home received the most nominations but several other songs were also nominated multiple times. All Alfie’s albums are represented on the very long playlist (2 hours 23 mins!!!) although Trust is the lead album with nine songs on the list.  How we didn’t nominate the whole album I’ll never know!

Click here to listen to the playlist on Spotify and then vote for your favourite from the list below:

This poll is for recorded songs only so if you nominated for a song that Alfie has sung live and not recorded, you won’t find it on the list.  Don’t fret though, as we hope to do another poll for Alfie’s Best Ever Live Song in the lead up to the UK tour later this year.

a Living Prayer got my vote as it was the song that introduced me to Alfie. The rest is history.

Jane, you wouldn’t let me vote for more than one! But it had to be Bring Him Home. A casual listening to Les Mis on PBS and I was hooked on Alfie and Bring Him Home. But my goodness, what an outstanding list of songs the man has sung!

It still has to be “Bring Him Home”. It`s because I first really took notice of Alfie, although I had heard of him for a long time beforehand, when I saw the O2 Les Mis and it brought me to tears when he sang that song. Also very personal memories of my late mother who loved it too – so as good as all the rest of the songs are, Bring Him Home has to be my vote for personal reasons.

The songs appear on the list in the order in which they were nominated xxx

That’s funny Roberta. I can’t even cope with voting for one right now. How come all my favourites are on that list???

Hi! Are the songs in any particular order? Did Je Crois which appears first receive the most nominations?
This is not an easy decision
And I can’t believe my phone just changed Je Crois to Jersey Cross.
