Alfie Boe Michael Ball: Loose Women

Closer and closer to the Ball and Boe Together tour and album release and those TV appearances are starting to be announced.  Keep your eyes peeled for more to be announced but in the meantime, I’m happy to be able to tell you that Alfie and Michael have been confirmed for Loose Women on Friday 11 November.

Shall we look back at a memorable moment from one of Alfie’s previous Loose Women appearances, where he made quite an impact on Colleen!

Would you believe this was ten years ago, ten years today in fact!

In case you missed it, Alfie and Michael were interviewed on BBC Radio Nottingham last week and Michael mentioned their forthcoming appearance at the Festival of Remembrance on 12 November…which will be a busy day for them seeing as they’re also at the London Palladium that evening.  Taxi bikes have been mentioned as a mode of transport!  Although there are limited numbers of tickets to the matinee of the festival, these sold out in September, way before any acts were announced.

I can also confirm that Alfie and Michael are scheduled to be interviewed on Steve Wright’s BBC Radio 2 show on Monday 7 November although I understand that this date might be fluid.  Keep an eye on Upcoming Events as all alterations and new dates will be posted here as soon as I’m able to announce.

Ball and Boe at Proms in the Park

Twenty years since the first Proms in the Park and they celebrated in style with Alfie’s first London performance for four years (although he’s appeared in Glasgow and Belfast in between).

The first time we’ve heard Alfie and Michael sing songs from their much anticipated album, Together, they gave us not just the promised one song but an additional song too!  Here they are, thanks to Annie and Sylvia for sharing:

Thanks to both Annie and Sylvia for bearing with the vagaries of the BBC red button service – if we start asking now, do you think we could persuade the BBC to broadcast each Prom in the Park in it’s entirety next year?  So much better than constantly jumping from one to the other, always (and I don’t know how they manage it) missing out on the best bits of each concert?

If Anthem and Stairway to Paradise are anything to go by, we’re in for a fantastic treat when they go on tour.  Click here for dates and tickets.

If this has whetted your appetite for the album, signed copies are still available here:

Friday Round Up No.17

A dull and wet Friday in London was made a lot better by seeing Alfie, together with Michael Ball, on US TV.  Click on Alfie and Michael to see the video:

Alfie Michael NYC

A short interview but a great intro to any new fans out there…and existing ones too, seeing as it’s been a while since we’ve heard from Alfie.  Fabulous to see them both featured on US TV and apparently, they’ll be back around the time of the album release.

In case you’re not connected to Alfie via Facebook or Twitter, Alfie and Michael are in New York this week as they record the much anticipated Together album – it will be interesting to see the track list and see how many fan suggestions made it.

Have you voted for your favourite Alfie Boe song yet?  Last chance – the voting ends tomorrow morning (UK time).

Lastly, this past week has seen the 39th anniversary of Elvis’s death so let’s look back to one of my favourite Alfie sings Elvis songs (thanks Nikki for sharing):

Looking Back with Alfie Boe to…

the summer of 2012 when the June weather in particular seemed to be just as wet as it’s been this year in the UK!

As Alfie continues to recover (thank you so much for all your messages to him, they have been passed on to Vector) I thought it would fun to look back on past performances, so at intervals over the summer, new posts will pop up reminding us of some of the fab times we’ve had over the years.  Thankfully Alfie doesn’t mind fans taking videos, he even mentions the existence of said videos in some interviews, so thank you to everyone who has shared their videos with us:

Four years ago, I was only just discovering Alfie (along with loads of others, through Michael Ball) – what a lot has happened since then!

What’s your favourite video from this playlist?  I’d love to hear, along with any favourite Alfie moments you have from 2012 so please leave a comment.  My favourites are the Proms in the Park videos as that was my first live Alfie concert and the first concert I attended with lovely Linda W.

If you haven’t yet ordered your Ball and Boe Together album it’s available here:
