Alfie Boe: One on One

In a week of great radio interviews, this one is without a doubt the best, mainly because it’s a whole hour devoted just to Alfie!  He picks a few songs to accompany the chat and Elvis is once again amongst the choices – so excited as he chose my favourite ever Elvis song, Burning Love!  Some nice chat as well about Elvis singing the Neapolitan songs Alfie loves.  He also chose my favourite Rolling Stones track, Sympathy for the Devil – great memories of dancing around the house with my big sister.

Any young singers would do a lot worse than listen to this interview if they want to have a long lasting music career – get the training and make sure you have an individual sound were just a couple of Alfie’s pieces of advice.

Alfie Boe’s new album, Serenata, is released on 17th November:

Sounds like you were right about the secret project being connected to The Who!
Think the fact he’s stopped drinking must have something to do with why he’s looking so good at the moment.
